62. See all the movie's on AFI's top 100 list (7/123)

The latest movie I watched from AFI's top 100 list was Clockwork Orange.

The description at the top of the movie poster pretty much sums it up.  Based on the original novel by Anthony Burgess, Clockwork Orange is disturbing and bizarre.

I remember starting to watch this movie in Natalie Bonebrake's basement back in high school but we turned it off after the first couple of scenes.  It was too awkward to watch in a teenage co-ed environment and those scenes are even harder to watch now as an adult!  Disturbing...and bizarre.

With major underlying themes and messages, and Kubrick going for shock value, it's easy to see why this film has been so controversial over the years.  However it's just a little too disturbing and bizarre for me.
