One of my favorite and neatest things I have done since moving here is "Movies Under the Stars". This happens every Wednesday night during the summer months right here in my lovely town of Hoboken. There are various other spots around New York that do the same thing but after testing those out I can confidently say ours is the best.
They set up a giant inflatable screen at the end of the Pier that overlooks the Hudson River and NYC skyline.

They project movies (and really good ones too) as the sun sets and moon rises over the city. Everyone brings blankets, kicks off their shoes, picnics, and relaxes in the grassy park. The scenery is beautiful and since it's later in the night/dark outside, the weather is super enjoyable.
I wanted to get my other friends in on the fun so we gathered and watched "The King's Speech". Colin Firth is so adorable.
Puppy Chow, Texas Caviar, Rice Krispies, and Popcorn made for perfect outdoor movie snacks. They went along great with our plaid blankets!
