Remember way back when
I spent a lot of time unit planning? Well I'm back there again. A big difference is that now I'm actually getting paid by my school to do it. I'm so used to doing this for free that it's pretty exciting to be treated like a professional.
I had to laugh when reading those earlier
posts because I have the exact same anxiety and questions this time around. Especially with the standards changing, I'm trying to adjust my mindset to the new rigorous material and sometimes find myself slipping back to the old standards of what they should know. Just when you get the hang of something it changes- that's life, eh?

Rightfully so, I've been putting a lot of time into this project. I'm not handed a curriculum or textbook to use- I'm the one making it. Oh boy. Fingers crossed and a few prayers that I'm making the right decisions and that the plans save me time and stress once school actually begins.
Good luck! I'm sure what you develop will be great!
ReplyDeleteThanks sis! At least this year I know for sure what grade/subject/school I'm teaching which I've never known beforehand :)
