62. See all the movie's on AFI's top 100 list (18/123)

The first week of August was Mob Week on AMC.  Hosted by my fave Anthony Bourdain, it was a perfect opportunity to brush up on three of the classics:  The Godfather,  The Godfather Part II, and Goodfellas.  No matter how many times you see these films they draw you in.

The Godfather and The Godfather Part II
As someone who once owned Crossroads on DVD, I have no right to even attempt a description of this film.

Watch the video below.  'Nuff said.

Goodfellas
Makes you really want to be a gangster and terrified to be a gangster all at the same time.  Credited as inspiration for The Sopranos, this brought the mobster to a modern-day wiseguy (which I can definitely say fits in around this area)!  The casting and music are stellar.  Mix that with Scorsese's love of bizarre zooming and freeze frames and you have a great movie.
