62. See all the movie's on AFI's top 100 list (22/123)

All About Eve
This is the most nominated film in history along with Titanic.  Not sure if I fully understand why but I also once owned Crossroads on DVD.  This movie is about the old show biz industry of Broadway and the beginning of Hollywood.  The acting, writing, and characters are all very believable and there's a lot of tension without there actually being any big scenes.  It's also considered to be Bette Davis' most signature role.

The African Queen
This movie was quite corny and not so believable, but oh so cute.  You can't help but smile at the interactions between the characters Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn play.  Stationed in Africa, she is a buttoned-up missionary woman and he is a rough-around-the-edges miner.  As World War I begins they have to flee  onboard the tiny river steam-boat "The African Queen" and this follows their adventure.

Chinatown
Now this movie was good, although the ending is what makes me not want to recommend it to others.  A super young Jack Nicholson plays a private investigator who finds himself in the middle of a big old mess of murder, corruption, and water.  This is more of a mystery/suspense type movie and kept me trying to figure out whodunnit.
