Football has been as much a part of Thanksgiving for most Americans as turkey and pumpkin pie, and this year Mark and I got to be a part of one of the big games!
Albeit annoying transportation issues (things are still not right after Sandy and NJ Transit feels it unnecessary to post any sort of updates or schedule changes on their website...) we bundled up and hopped over to the Meadowlands to watch the Patriots beat down the Jets.

I couldn't stop laughing the entire game. The crowd was so stereotypical of what you would think a Jets or a New Jersey/New York football fan to be. So much yelling and THICK accents. We literally saw about 10 fights. People were getting thrown out left and right! Even the 80 year old lady next to us dropped a few F* Bombs!
Oh, and Lenny Kravitz played at half time. Ha!
The poor Jets themselves have been somewhat of a joke this year and this game was no exception. Such ugly plays, a million turnovers, and special teams mistakes only lead to a more hostile crowd.
The usual battle cry of "J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets!" was replaced with chants of "Tebow! Tebow! Tebow!" To everyone's disappointment, they never put him in.
Hilarious and so much fun. Happy Thanksgiving!

It sounds like you had a fun weekend! When we were in New Orleans to watch KU in the Final Four this past spring, all of the Kentucky fans kept going around yelling "C-A-T-S!" down Bourbon Street. We were waaaay outnumbered in terms of the fans so whenever we'd hear the cheer we'd start yelling "J-E-T-S" with them and then "Jets, Jets, Jets!" really loud after they stopped spelling it out with a big "Tebow!!!" at the end. They were all really confused.
