7. Make my car a no phone zone

For the last couple of months I have done an excellent job staying off my phone while in the car.  Granted, for about one entire month I didn't drive or use a car but since I've been back on the road the cell has stayed in the purse.

There were some unfortunate events that led up to all this but since then I have been a very focused driver.  The roads I drive on are already crazy enough without adding in any extra distractions!

I hope this habit sticks.  Even if I'm stuck in stand-still traffic, I'll try to turn to the radio or music to pass the time instead of e-mail and texts.

I think I might be ready to sign the official pledge!

  1. Great post! I need to get better about this. I'm not horrible about it because Brian encourages me, but I definitely am guilty of being on my phone while driving sometimes, especially on long commutes. My full attention needs to be spent on the road and the horrible drivers who are on their phones who shouldn't be.

  2. I definitely have a no text policy, but I just can't stop talking on the phone. I should be better, I know, but I do at least abstain from phone conversations in heavy traffic or bad weather. It's a start!...
