Recently I was able to share my polar experience with my students. We spent some time studying the various wildlife and geographical features of the region.
At first they would ask me, "Why is ice interesting?!" but by the end they were begging to look at more shots of glaciers and 'bergs :)
As we gear up for the oh-so-intensely-pressurized state examinations I really shouldn't be taking time out of the school day to discuss penguins. However, I heard a lot of them saying how someday they were going to visit Antarctica too and that just makes my heart smile.
You've inspired me to want to go to Antartica one day too!
