One Year Countdown

365 days to go- officially on the one year countdown!

It's a little sad to realize that some items have already met their expiration date.  It's just not feasible to complete certain tasks within the next year.  Yet, it's still exciting to look back on some steps along the journey.

I read back through my very first blog entry and remember the nerves before hitting the "publish post" button.  Would I be able to keep this going?  Would people laugh at me?  Turns out the answer is yes to both.

So here's an update on the Official 101-List and we'll see where we end up in another 365 days!
  1. Start a savings account
  2. Start a retirement plan
  3. Visit Heidi at least once
  4. Eat Vegan for one month
  5. Eat Vegetarian for one month
  6. See a chiropractor
  7. Make my car a no phone zone
  8. Visit California with Pultz
  9. Go for a month without coffee or soda (no caffeine!)
  10. Go for 2 weeks without eating out
  11. Donate to NPR
  12. Donate to K-State Education
  13. Donate to K-State Leadership
  14. Donate to K-State Chi Omega
  15. Take a trip to KC for the sole purpose of visiting friends (no event/holiday attached)
  16. Participate in a run/walk 5k
  17. Visit Antarctica
  18. Go to Yankee Stadium
  19. Make a T-Shirt Quilt
  20. Read "Catcher in the Rye"
  21. Go to the New Orleans Jazz Fest and/or Mardis Gras
  22. Visit Greece with Pultz
  23. Host a dinner party
  24. Take a class through Hoboken's Community Opportunities
  25. Go to a K-State football game
  26. Make a decision about Grad School
  27. Take the GRE
  28. Research Careers and make a serious decision about my job direction
  29. Visit Amanda in Chicago
  30. Host a party for M&D
  31. Eat at Les Halles
  32. Eat at Le Bernadin
  33. Get a Tattoo
  34. Get a Puppy
  35. Transfer all of my photos to electronic versions
  36. Write in my journal or blog at least once a week (0/143)
  37. Pray more often
  38. Take better care of my face (toner, moisturizer, etc)
  39. Take better care of my teeth (floss, etc)
  40. Get a facial
  41. Work out 3 times a week for 1 month straight (0/12)
  42. Get to goal weight and stay there (or under!)
  43. Complete a triathalon with Heidi
  44. Spend 6 weekends without TV (0/6)
  45. Organize all of my school stuff (electronic)

  53. Stay in better touch with friends- Call 3 friends a month
  54. Visit Allison in Dallas
  55. Watch all 6 seasons of Lost from beginning to end
  56. Write 5 chapters for my Book (0/5)
  57. Consciously work on improving my posture
  58. Create a 5 year plan
  59. Read "The First 6 weeks of School"
  60. Make a big surprise for Pultz
  61. Take my students on a field trip to NYC natural history museum
  62. See all the movie's on AFI's top 100 list (0/100)
  63. Dance once a week (0/143)
  64. Sing/play an instrument/research new songs/make music a priority in my life 2-3 times a month
  65. No fast food for a month
  66. Be more financially savvy
  67. Have my heart health assessed
  68. Find a hairstylist I like (and stay with them!)
  69. Choose a mentor and develop a strong relationship with them
  70. Plan an entire day, breakfast to post-dinner activities, to do by myself
  71. Renew a lease
  72. Hang out with the ladies I admire from school more often (5 times a year)
  73. Stay in touch as a mentor to past students
  74. Take 30 bubble baths with candlelight (0/30)
  75. Complete a no-spend month (no cheating)
  76. Learn how to cook eggplant
  77. Learn how to cook asparagus the way Pultz makes it
  78. Have friends come over to watch movies in the park in Hoboken
  79. Attend Church 6 times in a 3 month period (0/6)
  80. Join a gym
  81. Swim in the Stevens pool
  82. Attend 3 baseball games in Newark 2010 season (0/3)
  83. Attend 3 basketball games 2010 season (0/3)
  84. Lay out in central park
  85. Attend 8th grade graduation
  86. Move out of my parents house/store it up
  87. Contribute to the blog 3 times a month
  88. Send 10 people flowers (0/10)
  89. Spend a whole day just me and Pultz (wake up, to bedtime)
  90. Host the girls out here in NYC
  91. Take J.G. out to dinner  See all of the NYC area Pro Sports teams
  92. Hang out with J.H.
  93. Invite J.S. to do something
  94. Eat at Brass Rail restaurant
  95. Complete all of the exercises in 20-something with my book club
  96. Attend 5 happy hours with teachers from my school (different group than ladies mentioned earlier) (0/5)
  97. Make a menz with an old friend (write, reach out)
  98. Take Pultz to Washington DC
  99. Make conscious efforts/progress in controlling my worrying! (books, life coach, meditation, journaling, etc)
  100. Have a counseling session with a nutritionist
  101. Purchase a cool piece of art

  1. I just realized the other day that I have under a year for mine!!! I don't think some items will get done but some definitely will. I'm happy with the focus this list has brought to my life!
