This goal has been three years in the making!

I was still in my last year of college when my friends and I started to scheme up their visit to the big apple. I had officially decided to move to this area along with a couple of other girls from our pledge class, so it was a given that we would need a group trip up here.
Now that those of us that live here are more settled, have a little bit more space in our apartments, and are completely confident getting around, it was more feasible for us to be good hosts. Plus, the intense wedding weekend marathons have slowed down actually allowing time for everyone to take some vacation. We have been so lucky to have visitors come out and a large chunk of our friends have already visited, but this trip was our largest group yet. Plus, for most of the girls it was their very first time ever visiting New York!
So the date was set and our amazing, fun, busy, beautiful, and hilarious NYC weekend ensued.
We started off with a sidewalk cafe brunch in Hoboken followed by some Times Square sightseeing and a classic Circle Line tour. That night we tried to keep it relaxed by hanging out and having dessert at our friends apartment. Well, since it was our first night to catch up we obviously talked and goofed around until it ended up being much later than we anticipated!

The next day we grabbed bagels from my favorite spot, the Bagel Smashery, and stopped by Rockefeller Center. From there we walked up 5th Avenue to catch a "Sex and the City" tour. We all spent countless hours during college watching this show together so many of the scenes and city locations have become iconic. Then we grabbed lunch in Soho and shopped down Broadway and Canal street.

Friday night was ridiculously fun as we showed our visitors how we do Karaoke here in NYC. You don't have to worry about singing in front of strangers in a large room, instead you get your own private booth with multiple microphones and unlimited songs. Basically it turns into a big dance party/sing-a-long but in our case it might be more of a shout-a-long! After singing, sushi, and sake, we danced the night away and grabbed some pizza slices from Famous Ray's.
Saturday we were completely exhausted. We slept in late which was VERY needed. When we finally got around, we ran into lots of trouble with the subway. At least my guests got to witness the joys of public transit! Eventually, we made it to Central Park where we chilled out in Sheep's Meadow and enjoyed the insanely awesome weather. Afterwards, we grabbed some Pinkberry and hit up H&M for shopping. We then rushed back, speed showered, and headed to Mark's restaurant for dinner.

The weather was beautiful and we had the best seat in the house, right next to the large windows the restaurant had opened.

Then we hit a local bar where we just enjoyed being with one another :)
It was such a great weekend and I feel so lucky to still have such amazing friends, despite the fact that we live a thousand miles away from each other. Plus, showing others where I live and all the great things NYC has to offer reminds me of how much I truly love this city.
Who knows what life changes will happen over the next year that won't allow us to do this trip again in the future. That's why I am so glad we finally did this and that I finally got to help host the girls out here in NYC!
This looks like such a fun weekend. I'm glad you took them to the Bagel Smashery. It's my favorite place that you took me to in Hoboken!
