17. Visit Antarctica

My 101 list is in no particular order. However, if it were ordered by "magnitude of accomplishment", my Antarctica trip would probably top the list. Today marks the one-month countdown until we embark on the big trip to the bottom of the world!

After all of the connecting flights, Ushuaia, Argentina will be our first destination. Our cruise is departing from here so we're arriving a little early to give us some buffer time. This also means we get extra time to explore :)

Ushuaia is often considered the Southernmost "city" in the world and is in the heart of Tierra Del Fuego. It's most known for its tourism and as the launch for Antarctic exploration, but it looks to me that it has some great sites of its own. Even though Ushuaia is surrounded by mountains and we're visiting during December, it will be the heart of their summer time. I already looked up the average weather and it should be cool and comfortable.

We're staying at a small but cute place called Hotel Cesar. We could have opted for something more fancy but figured we'd go for "charm" in this little Patagonian town!
