16. Participate in a run/walk 5k

Last year I participated in my first 5k!  I'm proud to say that I kept the "tradition" going and once again headed out early Thanksgiving morning to the Morristown Turkey Trot.

It's really weird to drive somewhere else by yourself just to run a distance I normally do in my own neighborhood, but I'm glad I did it.  I took 7 minutes off my time and am getting closer to my goal mile pace.  I even passed a lot of people this year and should have moved myself further up ahead in the crowd.

It may be self serving but I have to give some love to my little 101 list.  Before I set these goals I couldn't run worth $#!%.  I'm still embarrassingly slow but but I've come a long way.  Yay for baby steps!
