However, soda should definitely be a no-no. I have to say, I really don't drink it that much anyways. I can't believe how much I used to consume in high school and college but these days I rarely have it and this is definitely for the best.
Have you seen this 60 Minutes piece? It's information we pretty much already know but helped scare me into staying far away from the soda.
I already go months at a time without reaching for a soda but I'm going to actually keep track the next month. The sugary drinks I fall culprit to are Gatorade and Fruit Juices so I'll ban myself from these as well. Water for everyone!

I gave up ALL caffeine for 10 days earlier this year. It was so hard and I went through some terrible withdrawals. I'm back to drinking coffee but I've cut back to only a few sodas a week. Honestly, I still love the way soda taste but I can't drink near as much as it as I used to! If I drink more than a small amount, my teeth feel so yucky. I'm happy with getting those little mini-cans now to get my fix. Remind me again how we could get Biggie sized DPs in high school every day?!
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to cut back on the coffee but one thing at a time, right?! Everything in moderation...but that's what I struggle with :) Tell me why I've been craving ORANGE soda every since I wrote this post. I haven't had it in years but now that it's forbidden it sounds pretty good, haha!
