91. See all of the NYC area Pro Sports teams

This has been a really fun goal to work on!  I love sporting events and nothing can replace that "buzz" you get when walking into a packed arena or stadium.  At this point I've seen the majority of the major sports teams play but there's still a few I can't wait to experience.

So far I've seen the Mets and Yankees play a couple times each.  Just reminiscing about baseball games makes my Spring Fever kick into overdrive.  Going to a game, cold beverage in hand, the way the weather cools down as it transitions from evening to night, singing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the 7th Inning Stretch....priceless!

Batter Up!

Mark and I watched the New Jersey Devils play the Pittsburgh Penguins together and I've been to a few other Devils games throughout my time here.  I'm not the biggest hockey fan but those games are fun!  Just watching the crowd is excitement enough.

One of my Dad's favorite jokes:  "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out!"

We were able to see the New Jersey Nets take on the Miami Heat.  It wasn't the most exciting game in the world (this was the 2010-2011 Nets team, not this current season who are a lot more fun to watch) but it was still cool to see all the superstars play!  The 2010-2011 Heat were pretty famous so they were a "hot" team to watch (no pun intended).

Lebron!

Nets Vs. Heat

Then speed up to this sports season and we HAD to see Jordy play.  Luckily, the Packers played the Giants at the Meadowlands so we jumped at the chance.  This game was so.much.fun.  We had a blast and even though we got tons of $#!% for rooting against the home team, we got to see Jordy make an amazing catch and Green Bay pull out the win.  This game made me want to be an NFL season ticket holder.  I love football and I wish I didn't have so much work to do on Sundays so I could go to more games.  Even though the Giants ended up knocking the Pack out later in the playoffs, at least they went all the way to win the superbowl.  Kind of cool we got to see the Superbowl champs play during the season.

Go Pack Go!

Next we visited Madison Square Garden to watch the Los Angeles Lakers take on the New York Knicks.  At first we were disappointed when we caught word superstar Carmelo Anthony wouldn't be playing because of injury.  Then, like the rest of the world, we realized there was another superstar in the making on the team- Jeremy Lin!  Unfortunately Stoudemire had a tragedy that caused him to miss this game too but by the time the East Coast vs. West Coast rolled around Linsanity was about to peak.

Linsanity!
And Linsane it was!  This game was a blast and we were constantly jumping up on our feet and screaming with each basket sunk, each amazing play pulled off, and group chants of "MVP"!  Jeremy Lin had his best game yet- scoring a career high of 38 points and of course, beating Kobe.  This game is what officially marked him as legit and we got to be there.  Too bad the Knicks returned to a little dysfunction again but looks like they might be coming back together!

I had only been to The Garden for concerts and now I'm ready to go back to any game I can!  We had some fun celebrities to watch courtside:  The Rock, Ben Stiller, Kellan Lutz, the Giants Superbowl team, and of course- Spike Lee.  Overall, being there is an "experience" and that's what I love about Pro Sports.

The icing on the cake was when we were leaving the arena we spotted Larry Johnson.  We awkwardly waved and lingered around until finally we just mustered up the courage and asked for a picture.  We were stoked!

The Birthday Boy (Mark) with Larry Johnson, Knicks legend!

The teams we have remaining are the New York Rangers and New York Jets.  I can't wait!
