The Official 101 List: Reflecting on goals 41-60

It's time again to stop and think about the good ol' list.  Time to reflect, see what I've accomplished, and see which ones can be put on the horizon.

41.  Work out 3 times a week for 1 month straight (12/12)

42.  Get to goal weight and stay there (or under)
Needs to happen.  Hasn't happened.

43.  Complete a triathalon with Heidi
We'll have to brainstorm dates.  Since my traveling is limited for the next 6 months, it may have to be in 2012.  Good thing there are still about 700 days left!

44.  Spend 6 weekends without TV (0/6)
This is harder than one might think, especially since I share a small space with a "roomie".  Somehow I need to get him on board with this goal also...which might prove impossible :)

45.  Organize all of my school stuff (electronic)
I'm realizing more and more how important this goal is.  I have two main places I keep my electronic files-  at school and at home.  Sometimes they are melded, sometimes they are not.  Honestly, my files are very well organized and I can always find everything I need, but I know it could be better (I'm all about efficiency when it comes to school stuff!).  I have also held on to every word document I've ever used and after 4 years there is a lot of stuff I could get rid of.

46.  Organize all of my school stuff (binders)
I'm realizing more and more how not important this goal is.  I used to rely on hard copies which are great when you use a copy machine, but now I print almost everything since I lost access to a copier.  Therefore, I rely mostly on electronic copies (see previous goal).  There are still a few things that come in handy to just pull out of my binders and use for a lesson.  This goal is still worthwhile and will require a big chunk of time to just sit and get 'er done.

47.  Plan Units TFA style for BP1, BP2, HLI, SD, CVS, DAU
48.  Get artsy photos taken of me and Mark
Ha! We'll see...

49.  Visit Boston
It's so close to where I am now.  I know numerous people that also want to go.  Perhaps this could be a spring/summer trip!

50.  Read "Learned Optimism" and work on cup half full
Definitely need more positivity in my life!  I still consider this a very important goal.

51.  Improve my Spanish
Spending time in Argentina definitely made me feel more confident in my Spanish skills and it was an excellent chance to converse and understand.  Plus, a night of parent/teacher conferences also gave me great practice.  I'm always surprised how much I know, but there is still SO much I don't.  Probably the worst part about my Spanish is my horrific, white girl accent.  Embarrassing!

52.  Make a new girlfriend
New faces and people are always coming into my life and I often find myself making new acquaintances and friends.  However, I'm not so sure if I need a new girlfriend right now.  I already don't give enough time and attention to the people who are currently in my life.

53.  Stay in better touch with friends- Call 3 friends a month
See previous post from a few days ago.

54. Visit Allison in Dallas
Coming in April!

55.  Watch all 6 seasons of Lost from beginning to end
This sounds like a good goal for summer...

56.  Write 5 chapters for my book (0/5)
Currently putting this off until the summer (Hmmm...notice a pattern? Summertime will already be filled with to-do's by the time it comes around)

57.  Consciously work on improving my posture
58.  Create a 5 year plan
Just when I think I get a good idea of where I'd like to be/what I'd like to do in the next 5 years, something happens and I'm totally discombobulated again.  Truth is, I have no idea.  It's hard enough just to decide for the next year:  apartments, jobs, trips, etc.  There is no feasible way for me to look that far into the future and I'm working on being "okay" with that.  I think most of the pressure comes from other people constantly asking me my plans, and when I give them an honest, "I'm not sure", they never seem satisfied.  Sorry people, that's just how it is!

59.  Read "The First 6 weeks of School"
Maybe another item for the summer reading list!

60.  Make a big surprise for Pultz
I'm constantly brainstorming surprises and gifts for him.  I wish I had the time and resources to make a big surprise for him every week!  I have lots of good ideas :)

  2. I actually have seen all of the LOST episodes too! I was obsessed for most of the series...until the ending sucked. I want to watch the entire series over, to re-live the magic so to say :) The first season is so so so good!
